Now the hyperbole surrounding a new release from Bowie has settled, I feel I can say with complete level-headedness that The Next Day is right up there with his very best work.
Songs like Valentines Day and the heartbreaking Where Are We Now are just other-worldly.
I put this album right up there with Station To Station and Low in being the appex of his creative works.
